The MM-1 Soviet gas mask was a 1950s era mask. Designed for use with naval personnel, radio operators and tank crewman while also seeing use by chemical troops. 

The mask is size 2 and dated 1969. It also does not have the rubber harness piece that came out in the 1970s. 

The East German military extensively used the MM-1. While there are no extra markings showing it as used by the DDR it can make a good addition to any collection.
