The East German Volksmarine always did have some of the best style within the GDR. Here at Covey Surplus and at Americana Pipedream we are bringing to you one of the best naval pea coats I've come across. These naval pea coats are made out of wool with a polyester lining and gold volkmarine buttons. There may be some with extra patches depicting rank and/or Grenztruppen arm bands (depicting usage within the boarder guards naval units)

These coats are unobtanium these days and we honestly just got really lucky finding them. Once they are gone, they are gone.

Great Coat, bad experience

First off, the coat is fantastic, it's in great condition and the sizing was perfect. Found some German tailor's papers in the pocket and there seems to be no damage at all. We have been having rainstorms and this jacket is oh so warm. The only real negative was that communication was poor from the seller, even paying priority shipping it took over a week for the item to be reported as shipped and another week before it actually did ship. Apparently, there was an issue with the shipping service, but this was not communicated even after inquiry, only found out via a later Instagram post.

The coat was great, the price was unbeatable, the description accurate; would buy again but would not pay anything but base shipping and hope it arrives in a timely manner.
